i met allegra back in 2007 at Forest Home and we’ve had the pleasure of working together in family camp for the past several years.  she met her man while working at camp and he and i once shared the greatest high-five of all time (he made a movie that made me ball with its grandeur… so i congratulated him – because about 90% of time my heart is made of stone and i couldn’t cry if i tried – and the rest is history)

so all that to say: this couple is pretty amazing… here’s what we came up with to invite their friends and family to join in their great-ness:

 

and clearly their guests were totally into it because they received aprons with their names embroidered in my handwriting from the save the dates, their logo appeared all over their gifts! it was SO COOL to get so many pictures from them of their gifts inspired by my designs!  luckily, they liked what i had created enough to jump in on the fun themselves… it was a pretty awesome surprise to get the favor at the wedding… a glass with their logo:

1 – i’ve been working on SO MANY wedding invitations and paper goods for Fall 2013… and the season is almost over! so much goodness is headed your way

2.  “then sings my soul” mugs will soon be printed and available for the holidays with new permanent ink!

how to get other people to buy you laurenish things

getting married? having a baby? doing something else exciting that gives you a reason to put together a registry? why not add some word art or rubber stamps to your list of toasters and towels?

step one: make an amazon wishlist or registy – CLICK HERE

step two (A): dream up the perfect laurenish item… maybe it’s a rubber stamp with your new address, or a word art canvas or wood panel, maybe it’s a custom designed skateboard deck or even a gift certificate… either way email me with the desires of your heart and i’ll post it on MY ETSY PAGE and you can add it to your registry

step two (B): maybe you dont know what you want but you expect your friends and family to figure it out… choose one of the already posted items to add to your registry

SAVE the DATE SALE

so this is happening:

here’s something slightly CRAZY i decided to do while i’m on my winter break from teaching – put down a $50 deposit on your save the date order before january 12th and save over 20%! extra fees for rush orders (less then 4 weeks) will apply.

need more then 100 save the dates? add-on in increments of 25 for $15 each

need less then 100 save the dates? 25 cards = $40, 50 cards = $55, 75 cards = $70

these are standard 4×6 flat card style as seen here and here and here and here

kacee and matt spent almost their entire engagement a world apart while matt was serving overseas in the marine corps so kacee and i worked together to show what a big day this would be – a celebration of the rest of their lives TOGETHER

pet love invites

in 2010 i became a vendor on 100 layer cake and have since been lucky to have a few brides contact me about invitations and other wedding related designs.  (you can see my vendor profile here)by far my FAVORITE project from a 100LC bride was this one…

you may remember these from a previous post, but it’s so much more fun to see pictures of them instead.   it all started with a typical email… “I’m looking for someone to design invitations for my upcoming wedding”… yada yada and then “We want our invite design to include colorful flowers and cute illustrations of our dog and cat.”

i had ALOT of fun with these and hope you enjoy them too.  the rsvps are double-sided postcards and the invite is double sided as well with a floral pattern printed on the back
